Can you eat yogurt on Keto?

For many people, yogurt is their go-to breakfast food. But when they switch to a low carb or keto diet, they quickly learn that most traditional yogurts are way too high in carbohydrates for their way of eating. Then, when you want to jazz it up with fun parfait-fixings—your carb count goes up even higher!

With just a few simple swaps, you can still enjoy your yogurt (for breakfast, snack or dessert) while eating Keto-Friendly or low carb!

Which Yogurt is Best for a Keto Diet?

It might come as a surprise to learn that even yogurts that claim to be lower in sugar have more sugar than you might realize—or want!

But are you ready for some Good news?

There’s a NEW yogurt available that delivers the deliciously thick and creamy taste you love without a lot of that sugar you’re trying to avoid. Meet Two Good™—it’s the best of both worlds! It’s a Greek low-fat yogurt with 2 grams of total sugar*, 3g of carbs, 12 grams of protein, and 80 calories per 5.3 oz serving.

I bought my Two Goodâ„¢ at Kroger.

Oh, and did I mention that it’s also crazy-delicious?

Two Goodâ„¢ isn’t too good to be true! Featuring a patent-pending, slow-straining process that removes most of the sugar that’s naturally present in milk that’s used to make yogurt, leaving you with way less sugar* and the creamy taste you love.

PLUS when they add in the active cultures, the remaining sugar get broken down even more. How sweet is that?

Next, the less-sugar diary milk and probiotics rich bacteria culture combo is strained it like typical plain Greek yogurt, only they spend way more time doing it! The slow straining removes most of the sugar and re-concentrates the protein. What’s left is a thick, creamy Greek lowfat yogurt that is rich in protein, and has 80% less sugar than other flavored yogurts!

The final secret to unleashing a taste that’s Two Goodâ„¢ is that the high protein, plain yogurt is combined with our unique flavors and touch of stevia (instead of added sugars) and ta-dah. It’s Two Goodâ„¢!

And our local Kroger makes it so easy to keep our fridge stocked up on Two Goodâ„¢ Yogurts at all time! I personally love the ease and convenience of using their grocery app to do my shopping. Then, I have my husband, Ray, pick up the order on his way home from work.

Oh and one last thing about this greek yogurt keto, this is a reduced fat yogurt, so if you are looking for a full-fat yogurt feel free to add in a little heavy cream for more of a whole milk, full fat macro along with the high protein content!!

How to make a Keto Yogurt Parfait

When I make a yogurt parfait, there’s 3 elements I want it to have. (1) Yogurt (2) Fruit and (3) Crunch.

While you’re stocking your fridge with Two Goodâ„¢ Greek nonfat yogurts, don’t forget to grab all the berries. Raspberries, Strawberries, Blackberries and Blueberries are low in carbs & sugar, while still giving you a sweet treat.

Instead of reaching for a bag of granola or even making your own from scratch, we’re going to rely on nuts for the crunch in our yogurt parfaits. You can use plain raw nuts if that’s your thing, but I like to lightly toast mine in the oven first. After they are toasted, give them a quick chop.

Layer chopped nuts, berries and yogurt in 1/2 pint jars. Not only are they healthy for your Keto-Friendly low-carb diet but they also taste amazing!

My favorite Two Goodâ„¢ flavors for Keto-Friendly Yogurt Parfaits are strawberry and peach. I like them both paired with blackberries and blueberries.

And add some fresh mint if you want to get extra fancy!

You can also feel free to top your keto breakfast parfait with any other fruits that fit into your ketogenic diet macros like cherry or mango. And add all the nuts like almonds or walnuts!
